The Most High and I

It's 5am. This is mostly download. I wanted to share as it is coming to me. Hoping for organized stream of thought. We shall see.

There's always a line thought that I wished more people understood the logic of my journey to ATR and maybe they'd understand some others.

Like I still know, but believe, they're is only one Source. There's only one most High. And I know that my Ancient African Ancestors knew that. I'm focused on them because we can accept such truth about others more readily than we do ourselves sometimes.

You think becausein a different language there's a different "name" or word that it's something different? Maybe it's the lack bravado or humanity, that makes the acceptance that the Creator in another culture could be one and the same.

Yesterday, I was reflecting on the belief that "Go d is a jealous God"?

For what???? The common sense is not common. What you got to be jealous of.

You're God with a big G.

Not a g o d with the small g.

Who would have all the power in the world and still find something to be jealous of??

You don't find that suspicious?

It's easier for you to have an emotionally and mentally abusive relationship with your Divine Creator than to believe that Olodumaré is the name we use to represent the Creator in our Ancestral culture??

  • Kill your kid to price your love for me, oops just kidding

  • I let y'all kill my kid because I love you

  • Kill every man, woman, and child because b you are special

  • You made a mistake, one, I'm kicking you out

  • Y'all make me sick, destroying everything

  • Still love me though

Those are just highlights. To me it makes more that:

  • The Most High would want the best for us

  • The most High needs nothing for they are The Most High

  • The Most High wants us to be good to ourselves, nature, and each other

  • Being a human is challenging but the Most High said here is some help

  • Why should I fear my Creator??

  • You can't Know the Most High in entirety so why judge how we relate to the Source? You know as much as the next person from a different vantage point.

  • My Ancestors knew God before slavery and it was well. Any other concept is white supremacy in a religious cloth.

  • We are for more connected to West Africa than we are East and North.

No one is knocking on your door with pamphlets to ask you, " Have you heard about our Divine Messenger Èṣù Odara?"

We share our experiences with what we love, our spiritual practice.

Some of us hold Elder positions, so we teach.

I would hope that common sense would say that someone of my level of intelligence would have vetted this tradition thoroughly. That knowing me I sought questions and received actual answers. That I'm a good and decent person.

That I would do the blackest thing possible, I'm alignment with the person I hope to be in this world.

That's what I hope one would think.

I would hope instead of quiet assumption you'd ask direct questions.

  • Do you still believe in God? Sure. Just not an angry, jealous, wrathful one.

  • Am I worshipping "idols"? You've never heard or seen me use the word worship directed at Ancestors or Orisha. You did hear veneration which is honor and respecting.

  • Well aren't they idols. You just say God. Other cultures recognize, just like you, you can know God in totality. So the energy God uses for rain has a name. The one that is wind has a name. So we pay homage to the reflection and essence of the Most High in everyone and everything, Including ourselves.

  • But what about the objects? Do you honestly believe the source of all existence cares about a statue? Be so serious. Common sense. You created this thing and it was good. One of your creations saw it, agreed, and created art to represent and honor what you created. Are you mad or honored?

I'm sure there are more, but I'm but doing your work for you. This is to open the door and say, Ask. Don't assume you know anything.

If I can tell you what my Spiritual Practice is about in bullets.

  • Believe in yourself, that's the place to start

  • Learn about yourself and apply what you learn

  • You deserve to have a good life. You don't have to price your worth.

  • Be good to Earth and she'll be good to you.

  • We are not alone, support is always there

  • Women birth life. They are sacred.

  • Be good to yourself and others.

  • You don't have to be confused, you can ask questions

  • Divination is a GPS for your destiny, you ain't gotta be lost.

  • There is no bad guy to blame. Hold yourself accountable for your actions and your experience.

  • You are loved by your Creator. You have nothing to prove. You're worthy. Period. Align and live to your full potential.

  • Don't strive for perfection. Align to goodness.

  • Trust your intuition, listen to your emotions, follow your rhythm.

  • Honor your Ancestors. They laid the groundwork for you. They are still praying for your success. Say thank you.

  • Self love is the foundation.

There's so much more but I'll stop there.

If you made it this far, thank you.

Asé O! Why would Olodumare be jealous. That’s a question that I asked myself and it never sat right with me. God has the power to do WHATEVER! When you have that kind of power, jealous isn’t a word that should be associated with God.
