Alignment with Good Fortune – The Next 16 Days
Today we were greeted with the Holy Odu Ifá Ogbè Òkànràn. Today we are reminded that the road is open, and what happens next is within our hands. When casting to see if this came up in good fortune or not, it took all the way to the last moment to make that determination. We are standing on the precipice of something. One wrong step and we could go out of alignment. This is not the time to be indecisive. Making the appropriate and aligned inspired actions will ensure we stay within the path of our destiny.
Today we are seeing Ire via Owonrin Oyeku. This Odù Ifa reminds us to finish what we start, complete our tasks, complete our ebo.
Our primary good fortune is good health.
If you are reading this on my blog, and then you will get a brief synopsis of the verses that we uncovered together. The full breakdown of the interpretation as well as direct messages is shared within our Temple group. If you are a member of my site if you are in the temple group, be on the lookout for the full posting that includes interpretations, wisdom, as well as what the community offering is going to look like. That one will generally be up a few minutes after this one.
Verse One: Iwure to our Ori
Ogbe touched the material firmly
Like the sound of a suitcase tied shut with rope
They were the ones who cast Ifá for Òrì
the principal initiator of all achievements
Who supports one well ahead of any Orisha.
He was advised to offer ẹbọ
He fulfilled
The guidance here emphasizes:
Come to your Ori with devotion and clarity
Your Ori is your primary Divinity
Go to Ori and lay the groundwork for what you want to achieve
Then Divine to see what support is needed so that the blessings your Ori is accepting don't pass you by
Verse Two: Don't cut corners
Okitibamba-til-pwkun-opopo divined Ifa for Ogbe when Ogbe was going to Otuufe. He was going to sacrifice for nails and money. He sacrificed only three nails and part of the money. The priest told him that on the main road he would start hitting the nails into the ground one at a time he got on the main road and hit the first nail into the ground a lot of money appeared and he collected it. He hit the second nail into the ground. A bevy of girls appeared and he gathered them around him. He went on for a short while and hit the third nail into the ground. Several children appeared and he gathered them around him. He said Ha! What if I had sacrificed all four nails completely? I would have a lot more. He went back and dug out the first nail. He then nailed it in front of him and court cases, losses, and other evils appeared before him.
This verse highlights the importance of doing your offering in completion and not trying to cut corners in what you do.
Verse Three: Ogun's Support
Eerindilogun-agbon-koseekodabi-Ifa divined for Bíkíráì, who would establish himself at Ogun's Grove. He was told that the place would be suitable for him. He was told to offer a sacrifice. He heated the advice and performed the sacrifice.
This verse asks us directly: Ogun is working right now to support us in aligning to our destiny.
Verse Four: A Good Reputation Doesn't Stop Haters
Ẹni tere, èjì tere
Òde Olóde pín mí
Divined for Lékè
Ebo would be given Ogún farm to cultivate.
Lele is a human being. He wanted to pick a farm outside City boundaries. He went for divination to find out if he could have a good land to cultivate. He was told to sacrifice and he complied.
After the sacrifice, he was told to take whatever Farmland he was given, but to make available Palm wine, amala, and dog stew when he started to cultivate it. Before he got to the farm they heard that he was a good worker. They did not like him, so they pointed out ogun's land to him, hoping that as soon as Ogún returns from war he would kill Lele.
Lélẹ̀ remembered what he was told and on the third day in the farm, he prepared everything and took them to the farm. Ogun returned from war that same day and he was hungry. On getting there he smelled the aroma of the stew. He went there and ate the meal with his followers. They also drank the wine. Lele met them there and asked them why they were eating his food.
Ogun apologized and asked him who was cultivating the farm. He said he was the one. Ogun told Lele that he was given the Farmland so that Ogun could kill him, for the land was his. Ogun told him to continue cultivating the land for he could not kill him at all.
Lele became a big landlord and thanked Ogun. His enemies became sad when after some days they did not see ogun fighting him, for the land was fertile. At the end of the year, Lele had the biggest harvest.
This verse emphasizes continuing to operate in your integrity depsite how others treat you. The divinities protect those operating in truth.
Verse Five: Growth and Expansion starts with You and One Genuine Supporter
Olukoti lived in isolation in the forest. He heard of a priest and sent for him to divide to find out how his farm could become a city. He was asked to give an offering and he complied. After the offering was made special medicine was made for him and buried in his farm. He then asked his priest to live with him until the prediction came to pass.
The priest agreed but he asked him to go home to pick his personal altar. He was allowed. On getting home the priest equally consulted to find out if the place would favor him. He was advised it was good but he should also give an offering. He complied and went back to the farm. Soon the farm became a village, and later became a city. The farmer was enthroned and he in turn made the priest the leader of all Chiefs in the town.
This verse teaches that growth and expansion of territory starts with one person supporting you.
Verse Five: Let. The. Talk.
Ifa says there is a woman of substance within the society where she lives. She should give a sacrifice so that her wealth would not diminish.
This person is not to be maltreated, Their Blessings would not get to them. However this person would eventually be happy.
So there is a woman who receives divination so that she may have wealth and children. This person was very generous and spent a lot on other people. However she still did not have any children. After a while people began to Mock and judge her. One day there was a celebration and after this celebration she was dancing. The woman danced and she sprayed money. The people began to talk about how she had all this money but she still didn't have any children. The people were Relentless in their mocking. This made her very sad and thus she went and cried. She went and she cried to the priest. She cried to Orunmila. An Ifa portion was made for her.
They told her that by this time next year she would be happy. The following year at the Annual Festival she was dancing again but this time with a baby on her back. Esu told the people that have been mocking her to repeat what they said to her last year. He looked at them and told them to repeat your judgments if you can. Those that matter could only simply praise the priest.
Verse Five: Let. The. Talk.
Ifa says this person will undertake a wonderful feat in life. No one would expect this from him. This thing would be known worldwide. There is also a child born that will be a chief of their clan. Offerings should be made. There's a surprise achievement.
Lagbogunde went for divination because all his Good Fortune had died. He was told to offer sacrifice and he did.
He lived in isolation in the forest. While living there he observed everything. He understood how all of the plants grew. He understood what all the things were good for. He was very wise in how things grew and how to get things to grow. However, Good Fortune was not growing for him. After giving his sacrifice he headed home and came upon a village. And getting to this Village he learned that they were struggling to get things to grow. He told them what they needed to know in order to start cultivating the land and getting their harvest to grow. They were so impressed and grateful for his wisdom that they made him their King. He had his coronation and ultimately went back to live in the forest. The people of the village followed him there. They built a palace for him to live in. And thus it was just as his priest had said.
