Aboru aboye abosise Irentegbe Temple and aborisha family. Greetings to you all. Today, the holy Odú Òtúrá Ògúndá returned. A reminder that we are not yet done with the wisdom from this holy Odú.

Verse 1:

They did much evil to me.

I am not tarnished.

They cannot overcome me.

They are cursing, swearing, and wishing me evil.

Òtúrá-Egúntán said that I should not be afraid nor fear them.

He promised to mend my ways so that I may live the better life.

He said my life will be prosperous.

It is Òtúrá-Egúntán who washed my head for me so that no curse, imprecation, charm, or spell will affect me.

Verse 2:

Otùá rirá bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kò dé Irá

Akòkí ràjò bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kò dájò

Òtítọ́ inú yóni o lákẹkù, ó ju irọ́ lọ

These were the Awos who divined Ifá for Orunmila when he traveled far away.

Orunmila suddenly got directives from Olodumare to tell some people what was right and what was wrong. He consulted Ifá to know if he would be successful. They told him he would be successful and he was advised to offer ẹbọ. They warned him not to sleep in a town where he should not sleep. He complied and sit out on his journey.

He got to a town and asked for its name. They told him it was "Liar". He asked for water to drink. The water they brought him was foul, as though it came from the sewers. He said there have tainted the waters. He advised them to stop their lies and he left without drinking.

Next he arrived in the town called "Betrayer". Orunmila asked for water but the water they brought seemed like dye. He won them that it was there betraying that prevented that water from being clean. He also left this place without drinking.

Orunmila reached the third town. This one was called "Honesty". Upon arrival, he asked for water. They asked him to be patient because they queued to get water regardless of a person's age or status. Orunmila said he was satisfied with that. It took some time but, they brought him water in a Calabash. This water was clean and clear so he was able to drink. He advised him to continue with honesty and to do things in orderly ways as he had taught them. As long as they did this, their town would be peaceful.

They danced and rejoiced and praised their priest as the priest praised Ifá while Ifá what is praising God.

Honesty is the water of Ifé land. Only few people knew it. I washed my face of it and also washed my feet. In fact, I bathed in it.
