Today we were greeted with the Holy Odu Ifá Oyeku Ika. Today we are reminded that inner work is a part of the journey and always take care of Èṣù. When casting to see if this came up in good fortune or not, it was easily determined that we are in Ire. Job well done everyone for the work you've been doing. Don't stop!
Today we are seeing Ire via Oyeku Méjì. The first thing that came to mind was the prayer, “May there always be good elders.” An end of a cycle is at hand. If you remember, the last Isan we had Owonrin Oyeku, an unexpected change brings an end to a cycle. So now we come to the cycle ending, the change has either taken place or is in progress. .
Our primary good fortune is Aje..
If you are reading this on my blog, and then you will get a brief synopsis of the verses that we uncovered together. The full breakdown of the interpretation as well as direct messages is shared within our Temple group. If you are a member of my site, if you are in the temple group, be on the lookout for the full posting that includes interpretations, wisdom, as well as what the community offering is going to look like. That one will generally be up a few minutes after this one.
ITANS
Verse 1
The Awos divided for Oyeku and Ika
They were coming from heaven to earth
They were advised to do ebo of a he-goat to Esue before leaving
They complied
They were told to take care of business when they got to earth
After arriving they were going to travel to Esi Ilawo
They went for divination
They were told to neither be greedy or extortionate
In order to maximize their gains
Verse 2
Both Oyeku and Eka went on a tour of divination. Eka succeeded and Oyeku did not succeed. Eka said “Let’s go home”. As they were returning, Oyeku went to the boatman and advised him to push Eka into the river. Oyeku paid the boatman 2,000 cowries. Eka also paid the boatman 2,000 cowries. Who ordered Erinwo Ife to be dropped into the water? Water would never take a crab away. It would often swim to safety. Oyeku instigated the boatman to drop Eka into the water. Eeun (monkey) was the one who rescued Eka.
Verse 3
Okeyu and Eka both cast divination for Owa who was getting divination for the infertile women in the house. Because they failed to interpret the divination correctly, Owa killed both of them at the crossroads. Edu Odara came down to the spot from Heaven. He plucked a leaf and rubbed it into their eyes and heads. He sang and they woke up. He escorted them to Owa’s place. They prescribed sacrifice for Owa in two hundreds. They said, “The purpose of you consulting Ifa was the infertility of the women in your house. You would prefer to get them pregnant.” He was advised to offer sacrifice that same day. Owa performed the sacrifice. They divided the materials and gave Esu his own portion. Esu said he did not know that this was how the Awo were suffering. He tok his portion and said he would stay in Heaven and continue to help them. But they should continue to take out first his own portion of all things sacrificed. Esu was kind to the priests. Since that day, the priests have resolved to share their sacrificial benefits with Esu.
Verse 4
Divination was done for Teekoto town where they experienced loneliness in their farms. They sought to know how their village would become populous. They were told to give an offering. They made the sacrifice. Their village soon started filling with important people. They were happy. They danced, rejoiced, and remembered to praise their priests.
