Verse 1
Divination was done for Sango who was looking for a child. Not having a child had bothered Sango so much that it was affecting his work in battle. Sango went to consult Ifa to see what it would take for him to have a child. He was advised to give a sacrifice. Shortly thereafter his wife gave birth to a baby boy named Ose. He was further advised to take his son with him everywhere he went, including battle. When Sango went into battle, he threw his son ahead. His son would land and with thunderous noise. When people heard the thunderous sound they would either scatter or be frozen in fear.
Verse 2
Definition was done for Èṣù Odara and Orunmila. Èṣù Odara had all the good fortune inside him. Orunmila was consulting Ifa to know how he could have goodness back in his life. Orunmila was told to give an offering for victory, because someone close to him had all of his good fortune. Orunmila complied. He gave his offering. Soon after, Èṣù came by. He said he did not know that Orunmila was doing so well. Orunmila said that he was simply making a sacrifice for himself. Surprised, Èṣù threw up all of the blessings he had inside him. And Orunmila had all his Good Fortune restored.
Verse 3
Olongo was famous. He consulted Ifa to know how he could remain famous. Ifa advised that he would retain his fame. However he needed to give an offering, so that he did not get taken back to Orun with his Heavenly Mates. Olongo complied. Soon after he was dancing and singing while the music was playing. But then the music stopped. And Olongo went silent. Suddenly, strangers began to sing for Olongo. Olongo began to sing and dance again.
Verse 4
Làálàá gbàjà received divination when he was going to The Perennial Farm to reside. A sacrifice would enrich him. That would provide him a wife. That will provide him with children. It is the same sacrifice that he should offer. What is the sacrifice? They told him not to tarry for long at the perennial farm. They told him to come home on a 5-day interval and offer sacrifices to orisha. Life would please you, they assured. He started coming home on a 5-day interval. Wealth came by. Wives came by. Children came by. There is no other thing besides this he said happily. This orisha is worth revering on a 5-day interval.
