Community Divination July 9, 2025| EjiOgbe

Alaafia Everyone  - Here is the summary of the messages received for this Collective Divination. This was a beautifully timed message that we received in Ire.

Ifa spoke to us through the Holy Odu EjiOgbe in Ire through Ogbe Irosun. Ogbe Irosun reminds us that we're growing. We're growing and we're covered by the Ancestors. As the storms roll in, our Ancestors will keep us covered as we continue to take our time to grow.

And with their support we will have a long life.

Primary Ire - Leadership and Longevity

"All the honor of the earthly water

None can match the honor of Olokun (Ocean)

All the glory of the river, none can match the glory of Oosa (Lagoon)" - EjiOgbe

EjiOgbe Itans

Verse 1:

There was a client who tried may things to be successful but failed. He eventually consults Ifa to know the secrets of success. He was advised to be humble and not be in a rush to prove himself to be smarter than anyone else. He was also advised to always stay close to Orunmilla. He complied. Eventually, he began to see much success. His wealth grew and he was able to find a wife. Soon after they began to have children. So he praised his priest, his priest praised Ifa, while Ifa was praising Olodumare.

Verse 2:

Olurambi was a devotee of Ifa for many years. She began to fall on hard times and thought Ifa was no longer answering her prayers. Olurambi begins neglecting her practice. She stops doing her daily prayers. She no longer observed Ose. She put her Ifa away.

One morning Orunmila awakened and greeted her. Olurambi did not reply and simply grunted. Orunmila greeted her again and received the same reply. On the following greeting he asks her why she would not greet him. Olurambi says that she lacks a spouse and this is why she was upset. Orunmila gave her a special medicine. Soon after she found an amazing spouse.

Orunmila greets her again, to again receive a grunt. Olurambi says she lacks in money. So, Orunmila again makes her a medicine and she in deed receives wealth.

When the grunting happens again Orunmila realizes that Olurambi is being ungrateful at this point. When she asks for a child, Orunmila tells her to go and make her petition to the Iroko tree.

When Olurambi gets to the Iroko tree there is a line of women. All of the women are praying for children and making promises for receiving the blessing. They offer goats, food, etc. Olurambi is skeptical. When it is her turn she says she will give up her child after 1 year if she was to get pregnant. The women all beg her to change her promise. She does not.

Nine months later Olurambi gives birth to a baby boy. Before she knows it, a year has passed by. Olurambi is afraid and consults Ifa. She is advised that this was a problem of her own making. She needs to give an ebo of goat, knife and other ebo materials.

Olurambi complies. When she takes her sacrifice to the Iroko tree Esu is there. Olurambi begs the Iroko tree to spare her son. The Iroko tree chastises her, reminding her of her arrogance . She could have promised anything. It was she that promised a child. Esu took the sacrifice from Olurambi, strategically switching the child for the goat before presenting it to Iroko. Esu confirms Iroko accepts the offering. When Esu presents the offering it is a goat. Iroko begins to argue but Esu reminds him that he should have looked more closely before accepting.

Olurambi was able to take her son home and it was just as Ifa had said.

Verse 3

It was well known in Orun that the deity that stands at the gate between Heaven and Earth would only allow you to have 1 blessing before leaving. The fortunate man wanted to have the good fortune of spouse, long life, children, and wealth. The fortunate goes to consult Ifa to see if he can have all of his good fortune. Ifa says yes and to give his ebo. He does and is advised to take beancakes and Seke wine to Obatala, the deity that ratifies the blessings.

When the fortunate man gets to the gate, Obatala is hungry and thirsty. The fortunate man offers him the beancakes and wine. Obatala accepted. While Obatala is eating the fortunate man says he is going to Earth and asks for all four of his blessings. Obatala approves and his blessings are ratified. When Obatala finishes eating he asks who got four blessings, the deity that ratified it say, "The fortunate man". The fortunate man gets to Earth and is able to enjoy all his blessings and thus praised Ifa.

Verse 4

Divination was done for Obatala and he was told that he would be king of all the immortals. The other immortals stated they would take one of Obatala's blessings.

Orunmila did not change a word from what was said. Esu threw his hands up and stayed out of it.

If the river wants to be greater than its source, than it will dry up to its source.

If the bush is burning, those who want to leave should do so.

The blessings from Orun are sufficient for us all.
