Oyeku Irosun came to us today in Ire through the Holy Odu Ifa Ogbe Obara. The primary Ire that came forward was the Ire of Longevity.

After some time passed

They were able to split the contributions amongst

They all have peace of mind

Their lives became sweet

It was then they began dancing and singing

They praised their Awo

The Awos praised Ifa

It was exactly as the Awo said

Ikin Enriches

Divination was done for Gberefu, the oldest son of Orunmilla

They said his Ikin (Ifa) would enrich him

He ased to sacrifice a rat, a fish, and goat

He heard and complied

Respect your Elders

Divination was done for Olofin

He was asked to give a sacrifice of dog, roasted yam, palm wine, and money

In order to avoid Ogun’s displeasure

He heard and refused to sacrifice

He thus incurred Ogun’s wrath

Ifa warned no Babalawo or Iyanifa should be disrespected, not even a young one

Misalignment Breeds Misfortune

Divination was done for Oyegosun, husband of Ojumito

This Ojumito was a woman destined to marry Ifa

She was given to Oyegosun as a wife when she was of age

She became dissatisfied with marrying a priest

She divorced him and married another man

She soon fell ill and the illness was so bad the man dumped her at her father’s house

Her father consulted Ifa

This is not coming from Oyegosun

Her father told that if she was not to die, she need to return to Ifa

Thus her father returned her to Oyegosun and she became well

Divination was done for Agbonu susu the husband of the hen seller

He consulted Ifa so that his wife’s sales would increase

He was told to give an ebo and he complied

He was told to tell his wife to work hard and approach buyers respectfully

She did as instructed and she saw progress in her business

The one that would consume forty containers of wine to Sango’s displeasure

Sango was passing by one day

He was seriously thirsty of wine

He had been to all the places where he could get some 

He was not successful

He then incidentally saw this group of people drinking

With the container standing upright

But wine had been exhausted from the container

Sango passed them by

He stopped briefly thinking he would be invited to drink

He heard no one call him

Sango however did not know that the wine had been exhausted, reason why he was not invited

Angrily Sango came back

And he punished them all

And struck them all with thunder
