Alaafia @Everyone! Today is Osé Oni, day of veneration for Obatala, Yemoo, and the Iyaami.

Iyaami means "My Mothers" 🤍🕊 We expect much from our Mothers and they sometimes meet that expectation, and sometimes they fall short. Sometimes we as Mothers over burden ourselves with expectations and live in guilt for not meeting them. Obatala reminds us to be mindful of expectations. We aren't meant to be perfect.

The Iyaami bring good fortune and harmony, more often behind the scenes, just like some of our Mothers do. They are often doing so and not given thanks. Except today. Today we thank the Iyaami that are in Spirit. We equally thank the Mothers in our physical life. We give ourselves grace and compassion as Mothers for that is how we live Ifa today and every day. May you all enjoy the blessings 🙌🏾 that are birthed from the Mothers today and every day. Asé ✨️ ✨️
