GOAL/INTENTION- Help in the spiritual development of the future of Isese in the African American Diaspora THE TRANSFORMATION *More confident in Self *Better understanding of who they are and who they are growing to be *Tools to help with emotional and self regulation (Not a relplacement for parents or therapy) *5 YEAR GOAL - Students are not simply prepared to have their own Ifa, They will have a spiritual practice they can be devoted to and empowered to follow their personal destiny ADDITIONAL IMPACTS *Understanding of career potential *Deeper relationship with their Ancestors *Deeper revereance for their Elders *A community to growith *A sense of belonging WHAT THIS COURSE IS NOT FOR *Making children be "good" *Spiritual Bypassing *Devoloping Toxic Positivity *Removing their Autonomy *Coveting of a title AGE GROUP - Youth are traditionally anyone under age 26. This program recognizes that distinction. Ages 8-25 are eligble for active enrollment. Youth under 8 are welcome to "listen in" until they are of age to enroll. HOW WILL LEARNING BE GROUPED - All students learn the same curriculum together; special post class support is for anyone in the program CAN YOU BE IN ANOTHER ILE OR TEMPLE AND ENROLL? Yes PARENTAL PERMISSION *Under 18 - Parents Enroll the Students *Under 16 - Parental presence required *Permission to attend Temple festivals and events for those under 18 LEARNING JOURNEY ENTRY PATHWAY - All students begin at the same entry point (Spirituality 101) WHERE CLASSES ARE HELD - Classes are held both virtually and in person; just not at the same time FREQUENCY - Classes are 1 Hour B-Weekly on Sundays beginning October 11 TUITION - Tuition is set as montly and based on including or not including potentional ceremony. EXPECATIONS OF PARENTS - *Be present in class for all students under 16 *In Person Students - Parents required to be present *Students are able to communicate with Elder(s) directly *Elders are mandated reporter and abuse will be reported as appropriate *Parents handle all discipline of minors ATTENDANCE EXPECTATIONS *Life happens. Missing a class is ok. Making the work up is expected. Replays will be shared and watching is tracked.
